The Small Assasian
This story was pretty messed up. The whole story was about some crazy baby who planned to kill his parents right from birth. When the mother found out about this she decided to name him Lucifer. Lucifer first attacked the mom after birth because she was still weak and made sure that his dad would not be around. Then the baby killed the dad with gasses while he was asleep. The the doctor figured out what happened and killed the baby with a scapal.
This immediatly reminded me of a show my friend was talking about. It s called Family Guy. In the show there is a baby named Stewie who is always trying to ethier take over the world or kill his mother.
These kinds of things make me wonder how some people will react. This could give other kids an idea of what to do to their parents.

The Gift
The Gift
It looks like Ray Bradbury did not write this story! However he really did. This story unlike all his others has no cruelty or deaths in it. It is about a family that is leaving Earth to go to Mars on Christmas Eve! This boy wants a tree for Christmas and the parents got one but had to leave it behind due to the weight of the tree. This is when they suprise the boy ,with a look through the shuttle's windows, with more than you can count stars all shining brightly.
When I first read this the first thing that popped into my head was Mars. Looking at space travel today I would say that this would be a very big step. There is a big risk landing on the moon without anything falling off the shuttle. Just to think of the risk if we decided to travel to Mars now would be almost a suicide. It just makes you wonder what will happen in the future.

Have you ever wondered if we will ever move to a different planet? Well in Ray Bradbury's story we go into that. There is this girl named Margot who is always picked on. Also they live on the planet of Venus where it rains every minute except for once for several minutes each year. They also have underground cities to live in. Now the girl was the only person to ever see the sun and the other kids hated this so the day the sun would come out they locked her in the closet.
This reminded me of a place where there is many underground places. This place is called Cappadocia, Turkey. It goes 18 stories below Earth! This city can even hold up to 20,000 people! This city goes into the Anatolian Plateau. This would look like a really awesome place to live in.

The Veldt
Have you ever wondered why kids would ever kill their parents? I still wonder this too. The most popular case with kids killing their parents is the Mendez brothers. Some say that they killed their parents for money but they are still not admitting anything.
In the story of The Veldt there were two kids who were spoiled rotten by a smart house by their parents. The parents were killed when they decided to turn off the nursery. This death was no accident and it was caused by two spoiled kids and one safari nursery.
